The Xbox360 was coined after a marketing firm that it hired conducted a survey which asked people whether they thought the Xbox name evoked a more “next generation” or “next-gen” sound. It was apparent that Microsoft was having some worries at that time that sticking to Xbox2 as the name of its new video game console would make it appear or sound older or less “cutting-edge” than its main rival, the PlayStation 3 or PS3.

Avid gaming fans who may have heard of ‘Project Natal’ have probably heard it was recently re-christened to now be called Xbox Kinect. This new gaming gadget from Microsoft will revolutionize the way we play video games. This console will use a revolutionary 3D camera and gesture recognition software which will transport gamers into an innovative gaming globe, by mimicking their physical actions within the real world, that will then transport right to the game. Now, gaming will require not only your fingers and eyes, but your whole body’s movement and groove. Microsoft created this official annoucement at the Kinect’s Debut in E3 Los Angeles.

The advancement in technology cause abrupt changes in our lives. Different gaming consoles were invented as he reaches out for ways to be entertained. And one of the most popular products which landed on the global market is the Xbox 360.

A great change in entertainment was made possible through man’s innovation and continuous discovery. Televisions now replaced the theater plays and operas while robots arise as new opponents in games like chess testing human’s mental abilities.
